Few women in music can compare to Nic Endo, the modular synth-warping magi behind the classic Nineties album, Cold Metal Perfection, and beloved comrade of Berlin’s enduring digital hardcore pioneers, Atari Teenage Riot. As Atari’s frontwoman, a vanguard architect of experimental noise, and as an activist, feminist, and socially-conscious aesthetic icon, she is something of a patron saint to the Nightvision world, and a significant influence on why we even exist as evangelists of extreme ideas in electronica and beyond.

Read that he doesn’t like him smiling
I think it looks rather cute :-P
The elusive Grinning Alec Empire in his natural habitat, ladies and gentlemen. Documenting this rare sighting was a herculean task only accomplished by famed naturalist David Attenborough after months of observation and hours of waiting around with a team of cameramen.

This true. Alec Empire looks no different now to when I saw him like… 10 years ago.
God. And his brains. He’s on the list of people whose brains I would go for first, should I ever become a zombie.
“People can argue as long as they want to, but our society is using wars to make a profit - it’s the economy. If people can live with that, fine. I can’t, for some reason.”

Nic Endo of Atari Teenage Riot 2011
I can’t remember whether I got into Atari Teenage Riot or Alec Empire’s solo work first but this track (along with The Ride) is certainly up to the standards Empire set with ATR. A thumping, lumbering, droning abomination of a track. And as for the video… hot goth chicks, subversion, a club full of renegade reject clones and the frankly brilliant inclusion of black Monroe clones, superb.
